Mongolian Steppes

My trip to the Mongolian Steppes

semi-overcast 14 °C

The experiance was breathtaking. Watching the rivers go by me and sitting in the luscious grassland, it was really spectacular. This was an amazing time that I had in Mongolia. Truly beautiful. I had never seen anything like it before in my life. But really it was difficult getting a visa and who goes to Mongolia? Well anyone who ever considered it but thought that it wouldn't be great, I'm sorry but I have to say that you are wrong. In fact Mongolia is a must see for every person of the world. I spent most of my time in the Mongolian Steppes. Milking sheep and eating horse meat. The meals were delicious, though some might say gross. For my first meal in Mongolia I had horse meat and boortsog which is a kind of cookie. I lived in a yurt and was given the best hospitality in the world. They were gracious, sharing people and I never knew anything like it before. I milked cattle and sheep and made butter out of them! It was really fun and even though there was no T.V. or internet, it was really a trip worth remembering.

Swimming in those blue, clear rivers were good. They were cool and sometimes while I was having a wash I would even drink some of the water. It was clean, extremely clean. It was fresh and ofcourse satisfying. Eating grass was also something new to me, but it was actually quite tasty. I had milk every morning and I always woke up to the sound of the clear river and the warmness of my Mongolian friends. They never knew about televisions or cameras although I was able to show them my digital camera. If you are a nature lover I reccomend a trip like this at least once in your life. I rode a horse almost everyday, herding the sheep and sometimes just to explore. I climbed mountians. Beautiful, Beautiful mountains and looked into the cloudy, humid sky above of me and really thought to myslef "God is truly great". I entered caves with pre-historic drawings of animals. I walked miles almost every day just because it was so beautiful. I loved the rivers especially. I had tea with fresh horse milk. You were th best Mongolia and I wish I could relive you over and over and over again. You were the best!

I adored your cuisine and every single day day admired your fertile, green luscious, beautiful landscape. I love you Mongolia and please I say this with the greatest respect and the best of love...

Don't cry for me Mongolia
ForI shall be back!!!!!!!!!
